The Clayton Parks & Recreation Department have a terrific Fall and Winter Schedule of events and programs. There is something for everyone in the family to do this time of year. from Tai Chi Chuan to Belly Dance, from Copper Enameling to Basketball. Clayton is a very progressive thinking town when it comes to amenities and parks and first rate facilities for residents and folks near by.

The Clayton Community Center at 715 Amelia Church Road
The community center is brand new and has a pottery studio complete with kiln and an artists studio with a wall of windows and garage doors that open when it is nice out.
The Sam’s Branch Green-way is a wonderful walking trail that will cross the Neuse River and eventually join up to Wake County’s trail system and from there to the many miles of trails in Raleigh’s Green-way System.
The Dog Park is scheduled to be open this year and the East Clayton Community Park is scheduled to be completed by the Fall of 2012.
